Hi pigeon lovers, I'm wiseowl, I have over 150 pigeons all different breeds from my free flyers (homer/feral) crosses, homers and homer/roller crosses. to my most strange and exotic breeds, Scandroons, Berliner long faces (Langs) butterflys, horseman pouters, fantasy fantails etc. etc, . I don't show, or race or compete. This town is not real pigeon-friendly. they're are a few pigeon lovers here, mostly rollers and racers. I have had two tipplers in all the pigeons I have. One was a very old lady, she passed on in her sleep basically, the other I bought within the last two months, he was a gorgeous deep red and calico color, He was weak when I pulled him from the box, and didn't make it. MY loss. I love the tipplers, they have terrific colors, and are terrific little flyers. one of these days I want to ad tipplers to my flyers. My crosses are pretty hawk resistant, they're fast, wily and know to dive directly at a wall or window and turn at the last moment while the hawks here forget to turn. HUMmmmm... sad ending. should be out catching mice not bothering these wise and wily pigeons... Joyce

Hi eveyone! Finding this site was a nice surprise. All the pics and info is great! Anyway, I live in Tulsa, OK and raise rollers and NYC Flying Flights. Only have a few of each at the moment. But, I am really trying to get more active with my birds. I have had rollers since a teen, with the exception of my college years. They have always been my escape from the hustle and bustle of the everyday grind. I love sitting out and watching my birds fly. Rollers are abundant in my area, but I had to go out of state to get my Flights. I would really like to get some additional colors, especially in teagers (at the moment I have blue bar, red bar, black, and a couple of odd colors). unfortunately, my isabelle's were picked off by hawks and a cat. The Baldies and tipplers piqued my interest! Can someone tell me more about them? Are they like Flights in the air? As I said, to my knowledge, those breeds aren't common here, therfore I don't know much about them. Anyway, Thanks for the site!
Wiseowl I am interested in ur homer/feral) crosses, homers and homer/roller crosses. Email me at russianroller@hotmail.com I'd like 2 see some pictures of them, I have afew Crossbreeds myself, What state do u live in? I live in Oregon.

Hi I recently fell in love with keeping pigeons. I am new to the hobby and recently had hawks kill 4 of my 8 rollers. I am looking to buy some new birds and any help would be awesome. Sorry for the stupid question but what is a feed call?
bradg A feed call is the way that you call your birds back home from flying. You teach them by blowing a whistle or some other noise every time you feed them. They soon learn what that noise means. Then you have a way to call them back after they have been flown. How many rollers would you want?
March 21, 2009 I went to the sail for the first time it was nothing as I though it so much more. There was about 50 people there and good verity of pigeons for sail. Thanks to Larry
